Harlan, IA) – COUNSEL, an Iowa-based provider of office printing and document storage technology, announced the acquisition of the technology division of Sioux City-based Office Elements. With this acquisition and the previous acquisition of Midwest Office Automations of Omaha (MOA), which remains independently managed, the number of sales offices now is six, including: Omaha, NE, Storm Lake, IA, Mason City, IA, Algona, IA, Sioux City, IA in addition to the headquarters in Harlan, IA.

“Sales growth within Iowa and Nebraska is driving the opening of our offices,’ stated COUNSEL General Manager, Mark Rasmussen. ’The acquisition of Office Elements (technology division) made sense because both companies represent Ricoh and our territories often overlap.”

In addition to company growth, COUNSEL has been strengthening its total-service portfolio and broadening its ability to serve customers. These new services include Document Management via PaperCut and Square9 software, 3D Printing sales and service, Managed IT and Networking services through strategic relationships with technology companies in Iowa and Nebraska.

But the end result has been excellent—we’ve had excellent sales growth, our customer base is loyal and our staff play crucial roles in helping our clients do more, more efficiently.”
