Easy and reliable hard copy job submission to ShareScan OP

QDirect.SCAN bundles an eCopy Connector for ShareScan OP with RSA’s QDirect for enterprise print management. QDirect.SCAN streamlines the process for sending hard copy originals to a print center for centralized production. Hard copy documents are scanned and sent to QDirect where an electronic job ticket is automatically created.

An acknowledgement receipt is sent back to the user and the job is ready for distribution to any printer in the print center without operator intervention.

Jobs can be batched and released by finishing requirements, delivery location or priority, maximizing the efficiency of operators and equipment. Modular integration with accounting systems, enterprise authentication (LDAP) and QDirect’s budgeting module allows the solution to scale with customer requirements.

Additionally, print centers can add WebCRD to deliver a complete electronic and hard copy job submission, management, reprint, and accounting solution.

Customer Comment – “ It’s a time-saver all the way around, because nobody wants to just stand there in front of the copy machine or on your break time or at lunch. It’s nice just to have it all taken care of in a matter of a few seconds.”

DataMaster Labs have tested and evaluated both the MP C3504SP and MP C4504(A)SP, which represent the entirety of the new A3 color ranges from Ricoh – and Lanier, Savin and Rex Rotary. These machines had different results, but overall all have been given the excellent score of 4.5 out of 5 stars. This results from days of testing and of analysis of productivity and print quality results, and analyses of technical specifications in the context of each of the market segments the machines fall into.

There are variations between machines, but none are affected adversely by automatic color print jobs, nor by multiple print jobs arriving at once (a test mimicking a busy office environment). RIP times were quite good, and large multi-layer graphics files are treated in short order and, importantly, with no impact on walk-up productivity as measured by scanning standard test documents at 600 dpi simultaneously.
