The Cannata Report Appoints Scott Cullen Editor-in-Chief

FOUNDING EDITOR, PRESIDENT & CEO FRANK G. CANNATA BECOMES EDITOR-AT-LARGE

October 20, 2016 (Hamburg, NJ) – The Cannata Report, the leading management resource for independent dealers and industry leaders across the office products, imaging and business technology industries, has promoted Managing Editor and Chief Correspondent Scott Cullen to editor-in-chief, effective immediately. Cullen takes over the lead editorial role held by Founding Editor Frank G. Cannata. FG Cannata will now serve as editor-at-large while retaining his position as president and CEO of parent company Marketing Research Consultants LLC (MRC). The announcement was made today by CJ Cannata, EVP and publisher, The Cannata Report.

Cullen joined The Cannata Report’s executive management team in February of this year. As editor-in-chief, he will oversee editorial content across The Cannata Report’s media portfolio including its monthly magazine, website, social media channels, emerging platforms and research service featuring its signature Annual Dealer Survey franchise. In his new role, Cullen will oversee The Cannata Report’s content and platform diversification and expansion initiated in January 2013. In addition, he will work closely with CJ Cannata on business and strategy matters across The Cannata Report’s media platforms.

As editor-at-large, Frank G. Cannata will continue to play a vital role on The Cannata Report’s editorial team and work closely with Cullen to provide his expertise and insight to the business technology industry’s top news stories. He will also work with EVP and Publisher CJ Cannata to oversee strategic growth initiatives for The Cannata Report while maintaining his lead role at MRC providing consultative services, analysis, and opinion to industry leaders worldwide.

Since joining The Cannata Report, Cullen has accentuated breaking news and related follow-up coverage and analysis across The Cannata Report’s digital platforms. He has also introduced substantial editorial coverage of business modeling, software, IT and other professional services and enhanced coverage of product and vendor news. In addition, Cullen has expanded the contributing editor roster, bringing in writers with strengths in industrial print and related software and solutions. During his tenure, he has hired industry veterans Toni McQuilken, who has a strong editorial background in the commercial and industrial print segments, and Mark Vruno, most recently an editor of Printing News, who will focus onsoftware in those segments and general content.

Cullen is a distinguished veteran of the document imaging industry and has written for a number of industry publications. He is the founder, publisher, and editor of The Week in Imaging, which he launched in 2009 and subsequently merged with ENX in 2014. Prior to joining The Cannata Report, Cullen served as editorial director of ENX/The Week in Imaging.

The Cannata Report’s momentum is driven by increased coverage of the emerging trends in the industry; an expanded editorial mission that emphasizes technology advancements in imaging and related future workforce essentials; and the overall growth of its hallmark content franchises, including Women Influencers, Young Influencers, Production Print and Out-of-the-Box: Software & Services themed issues. One of the largest providers of managed Domain Name System records for some of the internet’s biggest companies, faced a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attack.
Sites including Amazon, Twitter, Soundcloud, and Reddit were affected. People across the country, though more-so on the East Coast, found these sites inaccessible. Dyn continues to provide updates on these attacks as they continue to affect the internet.
